Eyebrow Embroidery
Eyebrow embroidery consists of a few techniques that create natural-looking brows by using tiny needles or blades to deposit pigment into the skin.
It gives a fuller, more defined eyebrows without having to fill them in every day.
The process involves a consultation where the shape and color are customized to your face. In Beyond Looks, we use your face’s golden ratio, muscles and bones to design a shape that is most suitable for your face overall.
The process usually takes about 1-2 hours, and aftercare is key to the healing process and final outcome.
The results can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years, depending on factors like your skin type and how well you follow aftercare. It’s a popular choice for anyone wanting low-maintenance, well-shaped brows without the need for constant makeup touch-ups.
Lip Blush
Lip Blush is a kind of lips embroidery that enhances the color and shape of your lips. It’s similar to eyebrow embroidery but focuses on giving your lips a more defined, fuller appearance with a natural tint.
During the process, we uses a fine needle to apply semi-permanent pigment to your lips, creating soft, gradient color that looks like you’re wearing a light lip stain all the time.
It’s a great option for people who want to add colour, even out lip tone, or redefine their lip shape without the daily hassle of applying lipstick. The results last anywhere from 2 to 3 years, and while the initial healing process involves some swelling and peeling, the end result is low-maintenance, beautiful lips.
Eye Liner Embroidery
Eyeliner embroidery is a technique where pigment is deposited along your lash line to give the appearance of brighter looking eyes, more defined lashes, without the need for makeup every day.
The process is pretty simple: a technician uses a fine needle to apply a semi-permanent ink to your upper and/or lower lash line, creating a natural eyeliner effect that can range from a subtle definition to a more dramatic look.
The main benefit is the time saved—you won’t need to worry about applying eyeliner or smudging throughout the day.
It lasts about 2 to 5 years, and while there’s a bit of healing time afterward, the result is always on point.
Scalp Micropigmentation
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses tiny dots of pigment to create the illusion of thicker, fuller hair. It’s commonly used for hair thinning, receding hairlines, or baldness. The process involves applying pigment to the scalp to match the natural hair color, enhancing the appearance of density without actually growing hair.
SMP is quick, typically lasting 2-4 hours, and offers long-lasting results (4-8 years) with minimal discomfort. Maintenance may be needed to keep the colour vibrant. It’s an affordable, natural-looking alternative to hair transplants, but requires a skilled practitioner to avoid unnatural results. It works well for both men and women, including those with thinning spots or scarring from past hair procedures.

What is Custom Brow Embroidery?
Eyebrow embroidery is a form of semi-permanent makeup which adds density, fullness and colour to sparse brows. It entails infusing coloured pigments into a shallow layer of skin with single-use microneedles. While there are many techniques in the market, there are two main techniques – shading (which creates a powdery effect) and microblading (which creates hair-like strokes on the skin).
What is the Custom Brow Embroidery process like?
Custom Brow Embroidery with us utilises a fuss-free 3-step process:
- Cleanse and application of topical anaesthetic cream for extra comfort. This process takes about 30-minutes for the effect to set in.
- Client consultations: Our brow expers will understand what look the client is going for, advise them on suitable brow styles and craft out a shape. We utilise a precise mapping technique that uses tools like callipers and compasses to ensure extra accuracy in the shaping process. The proposed brow shape is mapped out using an eyebrow pencil and adjusted according to client preference and brow bone and muscle structure.
- The brow embroidery procedure itself begins. The brow expert will use a single-use needle or microblade to implant pigments into the top layers of the skin (the epidermis) and apply the colour.
Each session takes approximately 90 – 120 minutes.
How safe is Custom Brow Embroidery
You’re in safe hands with us at Beyond Looks by Brow Bar! We make sure to sterilize our tools and equipment and utilise one-time use sterile disposable blades. To ensure the best results, we invest in only the best pigments that are stable, non-toxic and safe on sensitive skin. As consumers ourselves, we make sure only to use tools and products that we trust enough to use on ourselves.
Is Custom Brow Embroidery painful?
The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. Prior to the procedure, your brow artist will apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the area, and also reapply during the procedure. Everyone responds differently to anaesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything.
After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area as feeling similar to a light sunburn. Clients can take Tylenol or Panadol, but not aspirin or ibuprofen.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing is a very individual experience and varies from person to person. In general, the guideline we give would be between 7 to 14 days for most people for surface level healing and approximately 6 to 8 weeks for the colour to fully set in. What you can expect during the healing process would be slight redness and a more defined look and colour. The colour will fade by up to 40% as it heals further.
Slight scabbing or peeling is expected. Please do note not to pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and affect the outcome of the embroidered area.
What if I do not like it?
As brow embroidery is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We highly recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure and compare different artists’ work and portfolios when making their decisions.
Our expert brow artists will do their utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical due to factors like natural muscle pull and prominence of brow bones.
